The main contractor, Morgan Sindall Construction, delivered the scheme for Howard Group.

As part of its commitment to investing in and around the city of Cambridge, Howard Group first purchased Sawston Trade Park (upon which The Works now sits) in 2009. It subsequently acquired Iconix Park in 2013 and Langford Arch in late 2017. The purchase of Iconix Park included additional development land between the two estates and along the A1301 Sawston bypass. Further to a holistic master planning exercise, Unity Campus was created to encompass all of Howard Group’s Sawston assets. Unity Campus will bring together the office and laboratories of Iconix Park with new, high quality business and R&D accommodation on the adjacent land. The Works is the first phase of this development.
